ogical skill is the ability to give good reasons for what we say, draw the right conclusions from what we know, and tell whether what we are told is reliable or bogus. Some people, like scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and computer programmers, get plenty of on-the-job practice in thinking logically. The rest of us generally don't.
