Author Biography

GUNILLA ANDERMAN was Professor of Translation Studies at the Centre for Translation Studies, University of Surrey, UK. She lectured on the under- as well as postgraduate programmes of translation. A professional translator of drama with translations of the plays staged in the UK, USA and South Africa, she was the author of Europe on Stage: Translation and Theatre (2005). 

JORGE DÍAS CINTAS is Programme Convenor of the MA in Translation at Roehampton Univerity, London, UK. He is the author of several books and articles on subtitling, his most recent being Audiovisual Translation: Subtitling (2007). Since 2002 he has been the president of the European Association for Studies in Screen Translation.
