Summary

This clinical book will focus specifically on the issue of treatment resistant patients and complications in treating anxiety disorders. Although there have been some books written on impasses in therapy, none so far have focused on anxiety disorders. This book would bring together noted clinicians to explore the nature of anxiety disorders, the inherent difficulties in their treatment, and examination of the specific disorders themselves through extensive case examples. The book will deliberately separate theoretical material from case material in order to explore each in depth, and a special feature of the book will be a section on special populations that will cover the common problems of comorbidity with Axis I and II disorders, and medical disorders, as well as special factors in the treatment of children.
