Maria M. Meyer When her father-in-law suffered a stroke in 1993, Maria became aware of the need for better information about how to care for an aging parent, a responsibility shared by millions of Americans. She is a keynote speaker and workshop leader on caregiver topics to healthcare professionals and community groups and a volunteer with the Caregiver Community Action Network for the National Family Caregivers Association.Paula Derr, RN She is a clinical educator for the Sisters of Providence Health System. Her personal and professional caregiving experience adds depth to many chapters of this book.The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's mission is to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The Society and its network of chapters nationwide promote research, educate, advocate on critical issues, and organize a wide range of programsùincluding support for the newly diagnosed and those living with MS.
