Ronald F. Maxwell wrote, produced, and directed Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. Gettysburg (based on Michael Shaara's novel The Killer Angels) With the completion of Gods and Generals, Maxwell, a graduate of the NYU School of the Arts, Institute of Film, has filmed two-thirds of a trilogy; he next plans to film Jeff Shaara's The Last Full Measure, which carries the drama to the Civil War's end
