Author Biography

James L. Kugel is Starr Professor of Hebrew Literature at Harvard University and Visiting Professor of Bible Studies at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He is the author of a number of books of biblical scholarship. A former poetry editor for Harper's magazine, he divides his time between Jerusalem, Israel, and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
