Author Biography

Rich Hall (Fairfield, IA) has written extensively about mobile computing for the last 15 years. He is the current editor of Pocket PC magazine, and past editor and writer for The HP Palmtop Paper, the HP OmniGo World, the NEC UltraLite Connection, and The HP Portable Paper. Derek Ball (Calgary, Canada) and Barry Shilmover (Calgary, Canada) are the founders of Canada-based Sonic Mobility, an application development company that develops applications for Pocket PCs, specifically for iPAQs. Ball has authored or co-authored 7 books on client server, application development and database topics and close to 70 periodical articles. Ball is an international speaker and instructor at the corporate level on IT topics and taught Object Oriented Software Technology at University of Calgary. Shilmover has authored and co-authored over 14 Technology-based books. He is a sought after International speaker and instructor on IT related topics. Shilmover regularly writes for several web and print-based publications.
