Sunil Nadar, Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman,Gregory Lip, Price-Evans Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK
Sunil K Nadar is a Consultant Cardiologist at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Muscat, Oman. Prior to this he worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at the NHS in Birmingham, UK. He did his research MD on platelet activation in hypertension and completed his specialist cardiology training in the West Midlands, UK. Dr Nadar is a Co-Editor with the Journal of Human Hypertension and an Associate Editor with the Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal. He is currently involved in research work investigating the effects of thalassemia on the heart, the psychological impact of admission on patients with heart disease, and community awareness of the dangers of high dietary salt intake. He is also the coordinator for the May Measurement Month programme in Oman.
Gregory Y.H. Lip, is Price-Evans Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science at the University of Liverpool and Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK. He is also Distinguished Professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, and Adjunct Professor at Seoul National University and Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. In 2014 Professor Lip was ranked by Expertscape as the world's leading expert in the understanding and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation. He was on the writing committee for various international guidelines and has acted at a senior editorial level for major international textbooks and journals. Professor Lip's current research interests range from epidemiology to pathophysiology, translational research, clinical risk assessment and trajectories of risk, patient management pathways, and applied health research.
