Dr. Whitfield holds a degree from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, completed his medical training at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and his Family Medicine residency at Franciscan Medical Center in Dayton, OH. He furthered his expertise with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine from Ohio State University.
