Author Biography

Richard Bernabe is a writer, workshop instructor, and nature photographer. His work has appeared in hundreds of magazines and calendars worldwide as well as in corporate marketing campaigns for Canon, Patagonia, and Orvis. He is the coauthor of The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography, the author of South Carolina Wonder and Light, and the editor in chief of Nature Photographers’ online magazine. He lives in Greer, South Carolina. Jerry Greer is a photographer with more than 20 years of experience. His work has been published in numerous books, calendars, magazines, and advertising campaigns for clients such as Backpacker, Blue Ridge Country, LL Bean, and WNC Magazine. He is the author of a number of books, including Great Smoky Mountains: Wonder and Light and North Carolina: Wonder and Light. He lives in Johnson City, Tennessee. Ian Plant is a photographer with more than 15 years of experience. His work has appeared in a number of books, calendars, and magazines, including Adirondack Life, Blue Ridge Country, and Chesapeake Life. He is a contributing editor of Nature Photographers online magazine. He lives in Lorton, Virginia. Joseph Rossbach is a nature photographer and writer whose work can be seen in advertising campaigns, art galleries, books, calendars magazines, and websites. Some of his clients include Blue Ridge Country Magazine, Connections Magazine, Digital Camera World, Photo Techniques Magazine, and The Potomac News and Mountain. He is the coauthor, along with Ian Plant, of 50 Amazing Things You Must See and Do in the Greater D.C. Area: The Ultimate Outdoor Adventure Guide and The Ultimate Guide to the Nature Photography Digital Darkroom. He lives in Annapolis, Maryland. Jim Clark is a contributing editor for Outdoor Photographer magazine whose articles and images have been published in numerous magazines, including Nature Conservancy, Nature’s Best, Outdoor Photographer, Outdoor Traveler, and Wildlife Refuge. His work was profiled in the PBS documentary Mountain Memories, and he is the author of Mountain Memories: An Appalachian Sense of Place and West Virginia: The Allegheny Highlands. He lives in Leesburg, Virginia.
