Author Biography

Pete Donovan is a sports columnist for the Palm Springs Desert Sun. He is a former sportswriter for the Los Angeles Times and the Fullerton News-Tribune, and has covered and followed the Angels for over 40 years. He lives in Palm Desert, Calif., with his wife Janet. Tim Salmon spent his entire career with the Angels, where he earned the American League Rookie of the Year award in 1993. During his thirteen seasons, he became the Angels all-time leader in home runs (299), runs scored (983), and slugging percentage (.499). He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. Arte Moreno is the owner of the Angels, which has won five American League Western Division championships since he took over the team in 2003. He has been named one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America by Time, and is a member of the Little League Foundation Board of Trustees. He lives in the Los Angeles area. Mike Scioscia has been the manager of the Angels since 2000, including their 2002 World Series Championship team. He was twice named the American League Manager of the Year (2002, 2009), and is the Angels’ all-time leader in wins and games managed. He lives in the Los Angeles area.
